Lyrics to Music mode takes words you already wrote and turns them into a sung track. You supply the lines and the musical direction; the model supplies the performance and the arrangement.
- Uses your text as the vocal content. The lyrics you paste become the song's words rather than a description of them.
- Needs musical direction too. Style, genre, tempo and mood still come from the prompt and style fields, so a good result needs both halves.
- Understands section tags. The workbench's default lyric text uses bracketed section markers such as
[Instrumental], so you can mark instrumental sections and structure your lines the same way.
- Consumes credits per task. The selected model's cost is displayed before you submit, and the balance shown is your account's.
- Prepare the text. Clean up line breaks first: one sung line per line, no stage directions mixed into the words.
- Open the AI Music Generator and sign in. The AI Lyrics Generator can draft or tighten the words beforehand if you are starting from an idea instead of finished lyrics.
- Select the Lyrics to Music mode in the workbench.
- Paste the lyrics into the lyrics field.
- Add the direction — genre, tempo, vocal character and mood in the style or prompt field, for example
acoustic folk, fingerpicked guitar, warm male vocal, 96 bpm.
- Choose the model and check the credit cost next to the model name.
- Generate, listen, adjust, then download. Keep the take you like and export it from the result panel.
- A songwriter with finished words who wants to hear them performed.
- A creator who needs a bespoke vocal track for a video, an event or a gift instead of a licensed track.
- Anyone iterating on phrasing or structure: regenerate with one changed variable rather than rewriting everything.
- Your lyrics are used as written, not improved. If a line does not fit a melody, change the line.
- No guarantee the first take works. Budget for a couple of attempts; each attempt is a billed task.
- No automatic ownership of third-party words. Do not paste lyrics you do not control. Commercial rights for the generated audio are not automatically granted and depend on the selected model provider, your plan, your inputs, applicable law and third-party rights — see the Terms of Service.
- No guaranteed timing. The progress panel warns a task may take a couple of minutes.
- Pasting a single wall of text. Keep your line structure; it is the cheapest form of control you have.
- Leaving out the musical direction. Lyrics alone say nothing about genre or tempo.
- Ignoring section tags. Marking an
[Instrumental] break is how you get space between verses without extra words.
- Publishing without checking rights. Read the provider terms and the platform Terms of Service first.
Yes — that is exactly what the mode is for. Paste your own words, then add the musical direction.
Use the AI Lyrics Generator to draft them, edit the draft until it sounds like you, then bring it back to the Lyrics to Music mode.
Treat each line as a request, not a contract. Long lines and unusual phrasing may be re-flowed, so keep lines short and regenerate if a phrase is dropped.
